Systems Lifecycle

The systems lifecycle describes the way that new computerised systems are developed. This is sometimes referred to as the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC). It contains a number of steps which should be worked through in sequence. It is important to note that each step of the SDLC can be revisited if needed, for example it is common to realise that something has been missed, a mistake has been made or a customer might change their mind about some functionality of the computer system.
